Active Directory Group Policy Engineer
Active Directory - Group Policy - Network Directory Services
We are a mid-size school district with an IT staff of 11. We are an informal, relaxed group of people. Staff is encouraged, and quite often does provide opinions and counter approaches to projects.
While much of the work described below is on-site work, some of the work may be done remotely. The candidate we are seeking is one that can review and evaluate our current infrastructure (AD and GPO), as well as plan out recommended changes and adjustments.
Description - (This is a temporary contract job)
Assess Directory Services (Active Directory and Group Policy)environments (Group Policy)
Assists with infrastructure improvements to ensure stability
Review define processes, policies and nomenclature to be used for Directory Services
Designs primary administration and support for the Active Directory environment of the organization, including Active Directory backups and disaster recovery planning
Organize documents and procedures
Change Management
As Builds
Security Policies
Creation of Group Policies (GPO), and plans for GPO Management.
Designs and Implements Active Directory plans for Domain Forest and Tree changes.
Experience
5
years overall IT experience including at least 3 or more years in Information Technology and Network Management support.
3-5
years of
Experience:
Planning for Active Directory administration
Deploying Group Policies
LDAP integration with disparate systems
Windows Server Environment
Experience working with Windows based hardware operating systems
Experience working with Linux based operating systems a plus
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma
Effective at managing IT projects
Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to work within a team and provide mentoring.
Experience with Wired and Wireless Networks
Demonstrates strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to deal with multiple concurrent support issues
Strong/proven design and, deployment experience with Microsoft Active Directory including Domains and Trusts and Sites and Services
Experience in converting domains a plus.
Strong Group Policy Management experience
Advanced PowerShell scripting
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
MCTS Windows Server Certifications or equivalent
Experience in multi-domain enterprises with greater than 1,000 users
Current experience with VMWare / Virtual technologies
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
